Singapore Business: MoM launches Singapore Opportunity Index to track employer outcomes

Singapore’s Ministry of Manpower has introduced the Singapore Opportunity Index (SOI), a data-driven tool that evaluates employers across five key workforce outcomes—career progression, pay, hiring, retention, and gender parity—to highlight firms that support meaningful career growth and help jobseekers make informed choices. The index, developed in partnership with the Singapore University of Social Sciences and the Burning Glass Institute (which also helped build similar indices in the U.S. and U.K.), draws on verified government employment data from nearly 1,500 firms and about one million worker histories.
