Reimagining Education in the Age of AI

Artificial Intelligence promises to transform the global economy—and has already begun to reshape work. The unknown effects of these changes have the potential to significantly influence education going forward. AI will change both how education is delivered through new technology and what education delivers as demands for skills and competencies evolve with widespread adoption.

Planning for, and reimagining, education needs to start today. Many of the economic changes are already observable: pathways into the workforce are being rewritten, young workers are developing new levels of expertise, and the entryways to education are changing. Educational institutions are adopting AI policies and technologies that reimagine curriculum delivery. Educators need to know what might work, where the risks are, and how to prioritize innovation.

In this BGI Live session Anne Trumbore, Chief Digital Learning Officer at UVA’s Darden School, Christian Pinedo, VP of External Affairs at the AI Education Project, Matt Sigelman President of BGI, and Stuart Andreason Executive Director of Programs at BGI discussed real indicators from educators and labor market trends to highlight promising strategies for integrating AI into our education system.
